'Danish Modern' Coffee Table - A modern design using walnut and curly maple.

Davenport Desk - This walnut desk has secret drawers, brass gallery and a pop-up back with steel actuating mechanism.

Deck Bench - You can build this sturdy bench (or a couple benches) in an afternoon. It makes a good edge bench to define the ends of a low deck, or a bench that you can use near a pool's edge or even against a railing. Its clean simple lines would make it fit in with most any decor.

Desktop Filing Box - The key to making this handy desktop filer is accurate cuts. The author used 3/8" and 1/2"-thick Baltic birch ply for mine, but you could use more traditional plywoods, medium-density fiberboard (MDF) or even solid wood.

Dining Table - Solid joinery and simple lines make this oak dining table a classic.

Display Cabinet (pdf) - Wall-mounted or placed on a table or countertop, this handsome display cabinet is the perfect way to share any collection while keeping it clean and protected at the same time. Featuring tempered glass doors and three shelves, the cabinet's design calls for all straight cuts and straightforward construction techniques (simple cut-outs give the effect of multiple panes of glass in the single-pane doors). Finish is up to the builder, so the project will match any decor.

Dog House - This doghouse is designed with the beginner in mind. It might even be a good project to involve the kids. The entire project requires only one sheet of plywood, two 2"x4"s and one 2"x2". All of these materials are available at your local hardware store.

Dog House - This dog house starts with a simple foundation but some easy enhancements quickly create a fancier look.

Drop Leaf Table - This small Drop Leaf table is patterned after a traditional Pembroke Table. Mortise-and-tenon joinery is used in this project to make a table that’s long-lasting and quite durable. Drop Leaf or rule joints are used to enhance the table’s lines and eliminate the otherwise visible gap between leaves and tabletop.

Easy Picture Frames - Attractive and unique picture frames can be made with basic tools, for some only a saw and a square are needed. It is much easier to cut mitered corners with a miter box or trimmer, if the fit is not exact the angles can be fine tuned by sanding them
